As part of the Home Office’s work to reduce knife crime among young people, a new phase of the #Knifefree campaign has launched and will run over the summer holidays. Adverts will go out across digital channels and large format posters.
The adverts show real-life young people who have turned their lives around after deciding to go knife free, adverts will run on social media and digital channels to reach 10 to 21 year olds
They point people to a dedicated #knifefree website www.knifefree.co.uk which provides advice and signposts support services.
While some young people pick up a knife to feel safer, they don’t realise that carrying makes them more likely to get into serious danger. A knife can escalate things way out of your control, and make a bad situation much worse.
It might not always seem like it, but putting down the knife is safer and avoids prison or serious injury.
